European Darts Championship 2020

The European Darts Championship was the first major event in Germany in 2008 and has set standards for the future. After three years in Hasselt, Belgium, the EDC 2018 returned impressively to its homeland in the venerable “Westfalenhalle” in Dortmund. After a guest performance in Göttingen in 2019, the EDC returns to the Ruhrpott metropolis.

£500,000 (approx. 580,000 EUR) of prize money was to be won in 2019. The best 32 players after 13 European Tour Events qualify for the EDC. There will be no draw, the games will be based on the ranking position. The number one of the European Order of Merit then meets the 32, the 2 meets the 31 and so on.

In comparison to previous years, the EDC 2020 has a different schedule. On Thursday there will be one long session in which all games of the first round will be played. On Friday there will be a double session, on Saturday and Sunday there will be only one session each.
